Anna Maria Leida ‘CHEM’ N. Pacano
Chem, M.A., Case Manager at PTV, has more than twenty five years of both humanitarian and development work experience prior to joining PTV. She has worked in low intensity conflict areas in the Philippines, Asia-Pacific countries, and Jerusalem. She has assisted, up close, internally displaced peoples of the Southern Philippines, diverse ethnic refugees of Myanmar, and Palestinian women refugees in the West Bank helping to define and strengthen their participation in programs and/or projects implemented for them. Chem completed her MA in Development Studies with a specialized field in Alternative Development Strategies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, The Netherlands and held positions at UNDP, ILO, Jesuit Refugee Service-Asia Pacific, Caritas Philippines, and Oxfam Quebec-Jerusalem Office. Her work experiences have contributed to her lifelong beliefs and principles surrounding gender equality, inclusive development, and refugee rights.
