Ana Carla Laidley, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
Mrs. Laidley has dedicated a lifetime to the social sciences and to the art of helping people to develop, improve, and heal themselves. Her career spans education, trauma therapy, domestic violence, children and families, and cultural competency. She began this professional career upon receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin and Greek Languages at the Federal Fluminense University, Brazil in 1989. She went on to receive a Masters degree in Education, Community Counseling, from Boston University in 2001; a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College in 2003; as well as direct supervision in structured family therapy from Dr. Salvador Minuchin. Over sixteen years of high-impact work with traumatized children and their families has informed the training that she provides in Family Therapy, Cultural Competence, and the Parent Resources for Information, Development, and Education (PRIDE) and, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). The strongest commitment and skill of development, implementation, and coordination of group therapy projects are proven strengths of Mrs. Ana Carla Laidley.
